Making money from Poker without Gambling! PDF Print E-mail
I've always enjoyed the odd hand of poker or a night in with the lads and recently I've enjoyed the lure of online poker.

Initially I started just mucking around with play money, until I realised just how much money was spent playing online - estimates are currently around £14million per day!. There was only one problem with that though - Im not that good a poker player.

So I started a little poker site (a blog) of my poker adventures on and off-line and I simply added a banner for PokerRoom. I added my URL to my signature in forums and even had a sign made up for the back of my car!

My first buzz came when someone left a comment on my blog about a certain bad play - it was critical of me, but it was amazing - someone was reading what I was writing.

Two months later I was scraping in just under a thousand unique visitors a month and comments were becoming regular and adding character to the site, promoting regular visitors - I had my audience!

It was about this time that I remembered the affiliate scheme - so I dug out the original sign-up email and logged in to check my stats.....

14, yes 14 confirmed real money signups!!!!!

Now when I signed up I was asked if I wanted to either receive a set amount per player or if I would like to take a % of their rake over the life of the player. I opted for the % - OK I'm not gonna get as much money straight away but hopefully those players - or at least some of them will continue to play for many years to come and keep generating £££ for me.

So far I've made about £120, which isn't bad for a start and if I can continue this rate of growth on my site I reckon I'll start earning four figure monthly commission payments within a year.

Not bad for someone who can't play poker, eh? {mos_sb_discuss:2}
